Oh my god oh my god oh my god I just had an amazing idea! What if dodge took the hellcat motor, put two turbos on it (while keeping the supercharger) and then stuck two of those together? Twincharged V16!! Also, stick that in the Viper (or make a new car with MR layout) and make the Viper Hellcat! If just supercharged means 700 HP each, plus the twin turbos so extra 150 maybe? x2 = 1700 HP! In a front engined car (or mid). That would almost definitely be the fastest car ever!
BmanUltima's car still hasn't been fixed yet, he'll get on it tomorrow, honest.

That would be an incredibly long engine, and it’s already too tall to fit in the viper. I suggest putting it in the back of the Grand Caravan, keeping the 300hp V6 driving the front wheels. Then you’ll have a 1000+ HP minivan.

That could work, and so, new MR car needed.

Why do people ever think they are the first to think of such grandiose retardery

How does the W16 part work?

1 person was the first one. Plus, it wasn’t really meant to be serious. It would be ridiculously impractical and heavy, and you would get like 4 MPG. And no one would buy it. People already don’t buy the Viper. Making it more expensive would just turn more people away. If they were stupid enough to make it, it would be great though.

Awesome idea! There’s just one problem: The Hellcat motor already doesn’t fit in the Viper because it’s too tall. Damn that low hood line!!
That’s the same reason the Vette is still an OHV engine so they can keep that extra low hood. That and because Chevy performs miracles with old school OHV engines.

That’s why I said or new MR car, I couldn’t remember if it would fit.

If it fit I think they would have already put it in the Viper, maybe even debuted the engine in that car.
I think a big old V10 with a manual is more the Viper’s personality though even if it doesn't sell all that well.

Nope. Ferrari would never let Dodge build something that could challenge the F70. It’s also somewhat unecessary as you can get those numbers from a TT Viper.

I mean it would Handle like a drunken elephant, lunch it’s tires and transmission even with AWD and would stick out of the hood/bonnet so you couldn’t see where you were going but it would be epic, awesome and hilarious and Jeremy Clarkson might fall over dead from delight if it actually came from the factory like that.
Completely mad but in the best way
